Hello and Welcome to Amarada Kennels.

We are a small kennel situated on the outskirts of a small village in Northern Tasmania, a state of Australia.

Owned by Garry, Gail, Jessica & Jacquie Cullen.

Amarada are the first Tasmanian German Shepherd Kennel

to have it's own totally independent website.

We are all involved in showing our GSD's and Garry is a qualified GSDCT Inc. Tattooist, T.C.A. Microchipper and DNA Collection Officer. He can be contact via the details above.

Amarada Kennels was established in 1996, but Garry has been involved with German Shepherds since 1976 when he purchased 'Grantara Duchess' from Roger and Helen Lette. He then went on to breed under the prefix 'Dudarkes' and he then ran on a bitch from his first litter 'Dudarkes Anglelique' (Sanrancho Mallory x Grantara Duchess). Garry's involvement was an all round one (show, obedience and G.S.D.C of Tas. activities.). Unfortunately due to work commitments Garry was unable to continue with the club. But after we met and married, we purchased a German Shepherd in 1987 and called her "Mishka". We did not take up membership of the G.S.D.C.T Inc until 1991 when we as a family purchased our wonderful grey sable *Northrop Ecru Eliminator (Kieffa).

It didn't take long for us to catch "the Shepherd Bug" and we purchased a second puppy in 1992 from Hasenway Kennels, *Hasenway Viva Lavlado 'AZ' H.neg (Shah) and so embarked on a journey that continues today.
